So this was one of my rare in-studio sessions. I was late to this one because I forgot my memory cards – of all things to forget! That’s like leaving your film at home… But even though I was 15 minutes late and they had to get dolled up right after nap time, these girls were so cooperative. I was definitely impressed. Aren’t they beautiful? Mom must be so proud!

Okay, so Mother’s Day is over. I had a wonderful day, and I trust that all you moms had a great day too. But that means now it’s time to turn our attention to all of those wonderful Dads out there!

Photos of family are so special. It’s hard to put into words what they can do for a person’s soul. Our children are so important for so many reasons, and a portrait of them can stir up a whirlwind of emotions for proud parents. My son gave me a picture of himself in a frame which he enthusiastically decorated for Mother’s Day. It’s something that I know I will hold dear forever. What better gift could there be?

Happy Birthday to this guy. He’s now the big 1-2. The last pre-teenage year is a big one, isn’t it? We headed back to Richmond Beach for this session – one of my favorite Seattle area locations. It’s just so stinkin’ pretty! I can tell that mom is so proud of her son. And rightfully so. He is handsome, polite, self-confident, and creative!

Meet Holly. She’s the most enthusiastic ball-fetcher I’ve ever met. She would play fetch until she dropped dead if you let her!

Now meet Holly’s little brother. His name is Henry. Henry likes to carry things around in his mouth, and he especially likes to taunt his big sister by stealing her ball.

These two are quite the pair! And being siblings, no matter how much they drive each other bonkers, they still love each other. Aren’t they sweet?
